Standard Modems and Broadband ADSL

If you have a standard modem connection (56k) look for the standard 56k download options. These are optimised (compressed) so that they will download in a reasonable time. However, If you have a standard 56k connection, but want the higher quality offered by the Broadband optimised versions (i.e. stereo audio & less compression), you can still download these files, it will just take longer.

Download files sizes

We have, wherever possible, included the downloadable file's size - this will help you judge the download time - it varies from computer to computer. Larger files take longer. Some of the larger files sizes (50MB+) are optomized for fast cable and broadband links (2MB+).

Playing the downloaded files on your computer

The playback of downloaded files depends on the set up of your computer. You need software to allow the playback of audio and video clips. The audio downloads are all standard MP3 files and should play on your computer's MP3 player. If you don't have an MP3 player, QuickTime will play MP3 files.

The video downloads and high definition audio files use QuickTime 7. This is the newest version of QuickTime for the PC and Mac. It's worth downloading Quicktime 7 from the Apple website - it's free! Click here to download. It will take a few minutes, but will allow you the best quality playback.

If you are having problems downloading the files please send an e-mail.
