Olympic Torch Relay
Julian was commissioned to score the music for the finale of the London leg of the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay. The music, just under 6 minutes long, presented the final four torchbearers. Four interlinking sections were composed with overlapping sections alllowing timing adjustments to match the runners pace.
The four torchbearers were Ellen MacArthur, Danny Crates, Theo Woolcote and Kelly Holmes. The cauldron was lit at a ceremony besides the O2 Dome in Greenwich, East London.
The event was directed by Robert Alge.
